Being Week 2’s lucky winner, we boarded SilkAir with much excitement. Whilst onboard, the captain surprised us by announcing our names over the speaker system and welcomed us onto the flight. The good service from the flight attendants made the journey seem so short! We had certainly enjoyed flying with SilkAir greatly!

Upon arriving in Cebu, Philippines, we were welcomed by the Maribago Blue Water Beach Resort staff. However due to a leakage in the room, we were upgraded to Shangri La Mactan Resort & Spa as our accommodation instead.

After checking in, we were like eager kids happily roaming around, exploring the resort with amazement! We were awed by the beautiful scenery, clear blue sea and great weather, sunny yet windy! The locals were very friendly and even taught us to speak a little of their local language, ‘Mabuhay’ which means welcome and ‘Selamat’ which means thank you with gratitude.

Time flew by and without realising it, a few hours had passed and the day was almost over. We quickly went to enquire and arranged for sea sport activities to be enjoyed on day 2. Thereafter, with my companion we blissfully soaked ourselves in the swimming pool which overlooked the serene ocean. We ended the day with a delicious international buffet before heading to rest.

On day 2, we spent the whole day snorkelling in the gorgeous sea with breaks in between where we lazed around the beach with lunch and drinks being served to us. With the white sandy beach, excellent weather and clear ocean right in front of us, we clinked our glasses, “Cheers to paradise!”

Before dawn break, when our trip ends on day 3, my companion serenaded me with songs under the stars. It was indeed a very unforgettable trip! With great service from SilkAir, lovely co-ordination from Class 95, we had enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Thank you SilkAir and Class 95!
