My Experience...
Day 1 It was going to be our first time to Kuching, Malaysia and both my girlfriend and myself were very excited. Not knowing what was planned ahead of us, we were just looking forward to spending these 3 days 2 nights together. Before the trip, I went online to research on Kuching to get me prepared for what’s in store there. The flight onboard on SilkAir was great. We were seated in the first row of economy class and there was plenty of room for us to stretch our legs. We were warmly welcomed by the crew on the flight and 2 nd flight officer. Sadly didn’t have our camera with us so we didn’t manage to take a picture. The flight took about an hour and fifteen minutes and we arrived 5 minutes ahead of the estimated arrival time. We were warmly received by the local tour guide and we took a short 20 minutes ride to the Hilton Hotel located in the city area of Kuching. We checked in via the executive check-in counter which is located on the 12 th floor and they put us up in a suite! The room was huge with an individual living hall and a bedroom with attached bathroom with bath tub, shower room and toilet. We were so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave the room, so we ordered room service and decided to call it a night. Day 2 We woke up early and had breakfast at the executive lounge before heading out to the local crocodile farm and zoo. The zoo had approximately 1000 crocodiles, some as large as 2 cars back to back! After the trip to the zoo we headed towards the city area for a shopping session at the Spring Mall. It was huge but had a completely different type of layout from the malls in Singapore. We tried some local delights, bought some stuff and then headed back to the hotel. That night we hung out by the waterfront area. Day 3 The weather was great so we decided to head on down to the pool for a swim and work on our tan. Following which, we made another stop in town to continue shopping – this time for local goodies that we wanted to bring back for family and friends as souvenirs. Time flew by and before you knew it, it was time to leave Kuching. As much as we didn’t want to leave, we loved the time that we had in Kuching. I would like to thank Class 95 and SilkAir for giving me such a wonderful experience in Kuching. |
